Russia: Ukraine Violates Moratorium On Energy Infrastructure Attacks With 6 Hits

JAKARTA - Ukraine's Ministry of Defense said Ukraine had carried out six attacks on Russia's energy infrastructure over the past day.

The attack is said to have violated the US-mediated moratorium to strike energy infrastructure targets.

Ukraine and Russia agreed to stop attacks on energy facilities each last month, but both sides have repeatedly accused each other of violating the moratorium.

As reported by Reuters on Wednesday, April 9, the Russian Ministry of Defense said Kyiv had damaged energy infrastructure in Russia's Rostov and Kursk regions, as well as in Russia-controlled Ukraine's Zaporizhia region.

In addition, Ukraine is said to have launched two failed attacks on Russia's Krasnodar region, including at a compressor station serving the TurkStream pipeline, which sends gas from Russia to Turkey via the Black Sea.
