44 Witnesses Have Been Examined By The Police, The Death Of UKI Students Is Still Mysterious

East Jakarta Metro Police conducted an examination of 44 witnesses related to the death of an Indonesian Christian University (UKI) student, Kenzha Walewangko (22). Even so, the police have not been able to reveal the cause of Kenzha's death.

"As part of a comprehensive investigation process, the total number of witnesses who will be examined so far has reached 44 people," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly when confirmed, Wednesday, April 9, 2025.

These steps, continued the Police Chief, were taken to ensure that every fact and evidence presented objectively was to reveal the truth.

Previously, the police had examined 39 witnesses including the UKI Rectorate, UKI security, students who were in the vicinity of the TKP (state quarrel) and students who drank alcohol with the victim.

"Until now, from all the statements of the witnesses, we have not been able to confirm and make confidence in the investigators or investigators regarding the cause of death, before the autopsy results and forensic analysis were obtained," he said.

Kombes Nicolas admitted that his party carried out the investigation process using the scientific crime investigation method.

"The process of examining five additional witnesses will be carried out to strengthen the investigation. So the total number of witnesses who will be examined so far has reached 44 people," he said.
