Megawati And Prabowo Promise Will Continue To Communicate For State Affairs

PDI-P politician (PDIP) Guntur Romli said its general chairman, Megawati Soekarnoputri and President Prabowo Subianto will continue to communicate and be ready to sit down together for state affairs. Both are committed to continuing to coordinate.

This was conveyed by Guntur in response to the meeting of Megawati-Prabowo on Monday night, April 7. They met for 1.5 hours at Megawati's residence, Jalan Teuku Umar, Menteng, Central Jakarta.

"President Prabowo and Mrs. Megawati are committed to continuing to establish communication and coordination, especially when it comes to national and international strategic interests that will have an impact on the fate of the people and the future of the Indonesian nation and state," said Guntur in a written statement, Tuesday night, April 8.

Guntur said that since the beginning Megawati and Prabowo's relationship was good. The two of them have indeed arranged time to meet but are constrained by busyness.

However, their closeness was proven when Megawati sent squeezing oil to Prabowo through the Chairman of the MPR RI Ahmad Muzani. This deposit was submitted to the Secretary General of the Gerindra Party in conjunction with the residence of the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia on December 25, 2024.

In return, Prabowo then sent a parcel in the form of Megawati's favorite vegetables during Eid al-Fitr. In the parcel, Guntur said, there was a tomato that became the favorite of the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia.

"Even Mrs. Megawati wants to get her tomato tree seeds for her to grow her own," he said.

As previously reported, the Daily Chairperson of the Gerindra Party DPP, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, revealed the contents of President Prabowo Subianto's meeting with the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia as well as the General Chair of the PDIP, Megawati Soekarnoputri on Jalan Teuku Umar, Menteng, Central Jakarta on Monday, April 7. He said, the two discussed national issues.

"I don't know exactly, but what is certain is to talk about Indonesia's future and how togetherness is to build Indonesia in the future," said Dasco at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, April 8, evening.

The deputy chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives said that the Prabowo-Megawati meeting was warm and was familiar with the moment of Eid al-Fitr. The photo of the meeting was even uploaded by Dasco on his social media and Prabowo and Megawati were seen smiling at each other.

"Yes, last night, Pak Prabowo and Mrs. Megawati were in a good and friendly relationship. So yes, last night's meeting was a family, friendly and warm meeting," said Dasco.

"So it didn't feel like the time was going on for quite a long time last night and a lot was discussed by these two figures," he continued.
