Eid Holidays, Peak Routes Are Congested, Vehicles Are Contagious From Cipanas Palace

JAKARTA - The Puncak-Cianjur route, West Java, on D+1 Lebaran 2025 experienced a long traffic jam with a queue of vehicles reaching 12 kilometers to be precise in front of the Cipanas Palace, so road users were asked to choose an alternative route for Jonggol and Sukabumi.

Long queues of vehicles have occurred since Wednesday morning as the one-way system from Bogor to Cianjur has been implemented, starting from the Ciawi-Bogor Toll Gate to the Puncak Pass area.

The queue of vehicles heading to Bogor from Cianjur continues to lengthen, so that a number of traffic flow engineering including blocking is enforced by officers, as well as directing motorists to choose alternative routes.

Even officers at the Gentur Lamp Monument, By Pass-Cianjur, directed motorists with Bogor destinations and so on to choose the alternative Jonggol or Sukabumi route, in order to avoid the queues continuing to lengthen so that there was a buildup on the Puncak route.

A number of motorists admitted that they had been stuck in line for more than 2 hours with the speed of the vehicle stopping and moving only a few meters during the implementation of the one-way system.

"Since 11.00 WIB I have been stuck on the Puncak route because the one-way system from Bogor to Cianjur was continued with one-way from Bogor to Jakarta, I was forced to wait because I was about to return to Bogor, if Bogor to Cianjur went smoothly," said Ridwan (35), a resident of Bogor Regency, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, April 2.

Meanwhile, hundreds of officers from each security post along the Puncak route took to the streets to regulate traffic flow so as not to pile up while waiting for the one-way system to be implemented towards Bogor from Puncak Pass-Cianjur.

Officers also directed motorists to a number of alternative routes in the Cipanas area, precisely at the Hanjawar T-junction through Puncak II or Cikalongkulon through Jonggol because there was no certainty regarding the one-way system to Bogor.

Kasatlantas Cianjur Police AKP Hardian Ardianto said the long queue with a cessation rate in the Puncak area was due to the heavy volume of vehicles on the main route of Bogor and the implementation of the one-way system which had been in effect since Wednesday morning.

"We hope that drivers will patiently queue because the condition of the route to Bogor from Cianjur is jammed and vehicles will not move as a result of the one-way system in the Bogor jurisdiction," he said. His party directs motorists to Puncak, Bogor and so on from the Cianjur direction can go through the Jonggol and Sukabumi alternative route to avoid being stuck in line on the Puncak route.
