Reveals The Case Of The Death Of A UKI Student, East Jakarta Metro Police Examine 41 Witnesses

JAKARTA - The East Jakarta Metro Police again examined additional witnesses to 41 people in the case of the death of Physipol student at the Indonesian Christian University (UKI) Kenzha Walewangko (22) on Sunday, March 23, 2025.

East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly said all witness statements were in accordance.

"The witnesses were examined 41 people," said Kombes Nicolas when confirmed by VOI, Sunday, March 23, morning.

Even though they have examined 41 witnesses, the East Jakarta Metro Police have not officially revealed the cause of Kenzha Walewangko's death. The case is currently still under investigation.

"We have not been able to convince investigators or investigators to upgrade to the investigation stage," he said.

Meanwhile, the police are also still waiting for the results of the autopsy and laboratory examination of Kenzha Walewangko. Later, after the results come out, the East Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim will carry out pre-reconstruction.

"The steps that will be taken after the autopsy results and laboratory are pre-reconstruction, taking expert statements and case titles to determine whether the case is in the criminal realm or not," he said.

It is known that Kenzha Walewangko's death occurred in his own campus area on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at around 20.00 WIB.

In handling the case of the student's death, the East Jakarta Metro Police used a scientific investigation or Scientific Crime Investigation (SCI) to reveal the chronology of the student's events and causes of death.

"This scientific approach is needed so that the investigation can be more objective and accurate in revealing what really happened," said Nicolas some time ago.
