JAKARTA - The Syrian Foreign Ministry has condemned the Israeli attack on the city of Daraa that killed and injured civilians.

The attack the day before killed three people and injured 19 others, the Syrian civil defense group, known as White Helmets.

Syria's foreign ministry said the attack was "part of Israel's military operations against the Syrian people and the country's stability".

"Israel's ongoing Aggression in Syria is not only a violation of international law, but also a direct threat to regional and international security," the ministry said.

The Israeli army confirmed the attack, which is the latest attack in a series of attacks targeting Syrian military infrastructure since the Sunni Islamic fighters toppled President Bashar al-Assad in December.

Israel said the attack targeted military headquarters and locations containing weapons and equipment.
