BANDAR LAMPUNG - Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Dudy Purwagandhi said the Port of Panjang, Lampung will be used as an alternative port for crossing for travelers if there is high density during the 2025 Eid homecoming flow.
"The Long Port will be used if the density of homecoming flow in Lebaran 2025 is very high and full," he said in Bandarlampung, reported by ANTARA, Thursday, March 13.
In maintaining the smooth flow of homecoming, the government has prepared three ports in Banten, namely Merak Port, Bakau Jaya Airport (BBJ) Bojonegara, and Ciwandan Port, while three ports in Lampung, namely Bakauheni Port, Bakauheni BBJ Port, and Wika Beton Port.
"We will release the motorbike travelers from Ciwandan Harbor to Wika Beton Port," he said.
Dudy explained that large vehicles that are allowed to operate when Lebaran will cross from the Bojonegara BBJ Port.
"So Merak Port will specifically serve small vehicles, buses, so three clusters will be made and we will carry out restrictions including in Lampung," he said.
