Ahok Examined By The Attorney General's Office As Witness To Alleged Corruption At Pertamina

JAKARTA - Former President Commissioner of Pertamina, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok, visited the Attorney General's Office (AGO) building on Thursday, March 13, 2025.

He arrived at around 08.36 WIB to undergo examination as a witness in the alleged corruption case of crude oil management and refinery products at PT Pertamina Subholding and Cooperation Contract Contractors (KKKS) for the period 2018-2023.

Ahok admitted that he was ready to help investigators by providing information as he knew.

"Structurally, we are indeed in Subholding. But of course I am happy to be able to help the prosecutor's office. What I know, I will convey it," he told reporters.

When asked if he brought supporting documents, Ahok confirmed that he was bringing meeting data. However, regarding the submission of the document, he submitted the decision to the authorities.

"If asked, we will give it. But this is not my right, but Pertamina's right," he said.

The AGO has named nine suspects in the case, six of whom are high-ranking officials of Pertamina's subsidiaries or subholdings. The six are the President Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Riva Siahaan; President Director of PT Pertamina International Shipping Yoki Firnandi; Director of Feedstock and Product Optimization of PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional, Sani Dinar Saifuddin. Then, VP Feedstock Management of PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional, Agus Purwono; Director of Marketing Center and Niaga PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Maya Kusmaya; and VP Trading Operation of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Edward Corne.

This case of alleged corruption in crude oil management and refinery products at PT Pertamina (Persero) resulted in state losses reaching Rp193.7 trillion in 2023.
