Prosecutor Detains North Sumatra Head Of Tourism And Creative Economy Suspect For Green Women's Fort Corruption

The North Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati Sumut) has detained the Head of the North Sumatra Province Tourism and Creative Economy Culture Service (Kadisbuparekraf) Zumri Sulthony alias ZS on suspicion of corruption at the Green Women's Fort Site.

"This detention after ZS was named a suspect in the alleged corruption of the arrangement of the Green Women's Fort Site in Namo Rambe District, Deli Serdang Regency for the 2022 fiscal year," said Head of the North Sumatra Attorney General's Office, Adre Wanda Ginting, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 11.

In this alleged corruption, ZS as the Commitment Making Officer (PPK), but the work cannot be completed on time.

There were even two addendums, and there was a shortage of work volume for the arrangement of the Putri Hijau Fort Site.

"From the unfinished work on time, the calculation of state financial losses has been carried out by the North Sumatra Prosecutor's Office auditor with the conclusion of state financial losses of Rp. 817,008,240," he explained.

Adre explained the reason why the North Sumatra Special Prosecutor's Office investigators detained the suspect ZS, because he had obtained two sufficient pieces of evidence.

Suspect ZS is also feared that he will run away, then damage or destroy evidence, and repeat the crime.

"The suspect has been detained for 20 days starting from March 11, 2025 to March 30, 2025 at the Medan Class I Detention Center", said Adre.

Pidsus investigators from the North Sumatra Prosecutor's Office have detained three other suspects, namely Junaidi Purba alias JP as the functional of Pamong Budaya Disbuparekraf, North Sumatra Province as the Technical Implementation Officer of Activities (PPTK).

Then, Rizal Gozali Malau alias RGM is a private employee of CV Citra Pramatra as a supervisory consultant, and Rijal Silaen is Deputy Director of CV Kenanga as a provider or partner

The three suspects have become defendants and are currently undergoing trial at the Corruption Court at the Medan District Court.

"The suspects were charged with Article 2 paragraph (1) Subsidiary Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code," said Adre.
