Road Lights Cable Stolen, Banda Aceh City Government Loss IDR 261 Million

BANDA ACEH - Banda Aceh City Government (Pemkot) stated that it suffered a loss of Rp261 million due to the theft of the street lighting cable in the capital Tanah Rencong.

"The seized cable is 1,740 meters long with a total loss of Rp261 million," said Head of the City Hygiene and Beauty Environment Agency (DLHK3) Banda Aceh Hamdani Basyah as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 11.

He said the stolen street lighting cables were scattered in several locations, namely Jalan Tgk Imum Luengbata, Jalan Prof. Ali Hasyimi, Jalan TP Nyak Tomb, Jalan T Nyak Arif, and Jalan Teuku Umar.

Then, on Jalan Tgk Abu Lam U and Jalan Tgk Haji Abdullah Ujong Rimba around Taman Bustarussalatin (Taman Sari), Jalan Tgk Chik Ditiro, and Jalan Mr Mohd Hasan.

The stolen cable, he said, was 4x6mm NYY type. Instead, the Banda Aceh DLHK3 uses a 4x16 SKTR cable to revive the blackout street lights.

His party has reported the case of this theft to the police and the case is being processed further.

"Alhamdulillah, thank you to the police who managed to secure the perpetrator and the evidence," he said.
