Woman Dealer Of Methamphetamine In Palangka Raya Arrested By Police During Transactions

PALANGKA RAYA - A woman with the initials SS (31) was arrested by the Palangka Raya Police Narcotics Unit, Central Kalimantan, while distributing methamphetamine on Sunday, March 9.

Kasatres Narkoba Polresta Palangka Raya AKP Agung Wijaya Kusuma said the location of the arrest was right on Jalan Tjilik Riwut Km 1 Alley Sion II, Palangka Village, Jekan Raya District.

"When he was arrested and searched, the members managed to find three packages of methamphetamine with a gross weight of about 9.8 grams. In addition, we also secured a number of other evidences, including a methamphetamine (bong) suction device, a spoon of methamphetamine, a glass pipette, a black plastic bag, and a mobile phone that was allegedly used for transactions," said Agung in Palangka Raya, Antara, Monday, March 10.

The police will carry out developments to uncover the network involved in this case. Currently, the perpetrators who have also been named as suspects and evidence have been secured at the Palangka Raya Police are undergoing further legal proceedings.

For his actions, SS was also charged with Article 114 Paragraph (2) Subsidiary to Article 112 paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, with the threat of imprisonment of more than five years in prison.

Agung appealed to all people in the local area to always be vigilant and not hesitate to report if they know of allegations of narcotics trafficking in the surrounding environment.

"We invite all elements of society to work together to fight drugs in order to protect the younger generation from their negative impacts," he added.
