Following up on this matter, the police moved quickly by arresting a suspect. "It is true that one perpetrator with the initials AI has been arrested," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi to reporters, Saturday, March 8.

Based on CCTV footage circulating on social media, the thuggery began when the victim appeared to be wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and carrying a brown backpack was walking in the Tanah Abang Station area.

Regarding the series of incidents, Ade said the case occurred on March 5. At that time, the perpetrators held the victim at gunpoint. However, they got resistance from the victim. Then, the victim was attacked by the perpetrator wearing a toska green jacket. The perpetrator slashed the victim using a machete.

"Because the victim maintains his belongings in the form of cellphones, wallets and bags of groceries, so it is difficult for the perpetrator to seize the victim's belongings, the reported injured the victim in the head and waist," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the arrest, the suspect AI was arrested around the scene, precisely two days later after the stabbing and stabbing.

Currently, the Sub-Directorate of Jatanras Polda Metro Jaya, which handles the case, is still developing. The reason is, it is believed that there are other perpetrators involved in the series of incidents. "We are currently still developing it for further development," said Ade.
