West Bandung Bawaslu Chairman Riza Nasrul Arrested by Police During Meth Party at Home

CIMAHI - The Cimahi Police Narcotics Investigation Unit (Satres) arrested the Head of the West Bandung Regency Bawaslu (KBB), Riza Nasrul Falah (RNF) along with two of his friends while having a crystal methamphetamine party

"There was a lawyer, then one of them was the owner of the house and the other was the Head of the KBB Bawalu (RNF)," said Cimahi Police Chief AKBP Tri Suhartanto in Cimahi, Antara, Friday, March 7.

When raided, Riza and his two friends were using crystal methamphetamine at one of the suspect's houses in the Cililin area, West Bandung. The police managed to confiscate evidence in the form of 0.84 grams of crystal methamphetamine along with a smoking device.

"These three people are users, they used it in one of the houses. When they were arrested they were consuming crystal methamphetamine," said Tri.

Tri explained that the arrest of Riza began when the police secured three suspects who acted as dealers and distributors in Tanjung Sari Village, Bongas Village, Cililin District, KBB on Wednesday (5/3).

The police then developed the case until finally the Head of Bawaslu KBB and his two friends were found using drugs.

"We secured three people, SP, AP, and EKS, they are dealers and couriers. Then we also secured users RNF, TY and RI," he said.

As a result of their actions, the Head of Bawaslu KBB and his two friends will be charged with Article 112 paragraph (1) Jo 127 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a penalty of 4 years in prison.

Meanwhile, the dealers and dealers will charged with Article 114 paragraph 2 and/or Article 112 paragraph 2 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a minimum sentence of 5 years to life imprisonment.
