Peak Homecoming Flow 2025, Korlantas Implements One Way Nonstop Starting March 28

Head of Korlantas Polri, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho said the one way scheme would be applied non-stop or without pause or continuous on toll roads.

"The application of one way will be carried out continuously without stopping. We have planned everything based on analysis and evaluation from last year. The goal is that the flow of vehicles can continue to flow without obstacles," Agus said as quoted on Friday, March 7.

The scheme hopes to maintain smooth traffic on the Trans Java Toll Road, although the volume of vehicles has increased significantly.

Agus also said that the one way non-stop scheme would be implemented during the peak of the homecoming flow which was predicted from March 28 to 30. Even when the backflow later.

"On D-3 Eid al-Fitr, we will apply one national way to unravel congestion. We will also implement one way during backflow, with further announcements regarding the implementation schedule," said Agus.

The National Police previously estimated that the number of travelers at the moment of Eid 2025 was more than 100 million people. Therefore, steps to anticipate congestion or traffic jams will be taken.

"Berdasarkan pengalaman tahun lalu serta pergerakan saat Natal dan Tahun Baru (Nataru), jumlah pemudik diperkirakan di atas 100 juta orang. Oleh sebab itu, kami akan melakukan langkah antisipasi yang lebih matang," ujar Wakil Asisten Utama Operasi (Waastamops) Kapolri, Irjen Endi Sutendi.

Langkah antisipasi yang dilakukan dengan menggelar Operasi Ketupat. Pelaksanaanya berlangsung mulai 26 Maret hingga 8 April 2025.

"The National Police will hold Operation Ketupat from March 26 to April 8. The peak of the homecoming flow is expected to occur on March 28-30, while the backflow is predicted to peak after April 8," said Endi.
