PAN Ensures Coalition With Gerindra If Prabowo Advances Again In The 2029 Presidential Election

JAKARTA - The National Mandate Party (PAN) has confirmed that it will return to a coalition with the Gerindra Party if Prabowo Subianto runs for the 2029 presidential election. PAN stated that the cooperation between the two parties for 15 years will continue.

This was conveyed by the Secretary General of PAN Eko Hendro Purnomo and Deputy Chairperson of PAN Viva Yoga Mauladi in response to the discourse of a permanent coalition.

"We assure you, it will definitely continue, 100 percent of the National Mandate Party supports, supports, especially friends in arms, loyal friends for 15 years," said Eko at the DPP PAN office, South Jakarta, Thursday, March 5.

"Of course, with Mr. Prabowo's policies that are like that, the part must have supported and continued for Mr. Prabowo and Gerindra," he continued.

Viva emphasized that PAN's support for President Prabowo should not be doubted. According to him, PAN and Gerindra have a common vision so that their relationship is more than brotherhood.

"There is no doubt, we have been in a coalition with the Gerindra party for 15 years because there is an equality of vision and struggle," said Viva.

"Secondly, we are not just friends or friends on the road, no, we are with Gerindra like brothers, brothers and sisters, ideological brothers," he added.

The Deputy Minister of Transmigration also agreed if PAN formed a permanent coalition with Gerindra. He also ensured that his party would continue to oversee President Prabowo's government.

"So if asked whether PAN agrees with the permanent coalition with Gerindra, it agrees as the Secretary General said earlier. And we will oversee Pak Prabowo's government programs in the future and we are sure that what we are fighting for is in line with the ideals of independence," said Viva.

"And we will continue to fight so that the government's performance arrangement can run well according to the expectations of the people. What must be asked are other parties that have never been loyal to Pak Prabowo," he concluded.
