Aceh SIM Airport Avsec Officer Fails To Send 1 Kilogram Of Shabu To Kendari

BANDA ACEH - Avsec Bandara Sultan Iskandar Muda Blang Bintang, Aceh Besar thwarted an attempt to send 1 kilogram of crystal methamphetamine, which was to be sent to Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi.

The perpetrator is currently under investigation at the Banda Aceh Police Headquarters.

"It's true, we are currently asking for information (the alleged perpetrator of the shipment)," said Head of the Narcotics Investigation Unit of the Banda Aceh Police, AKP Rajabul Asra as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 4.

The alleged perpetrator who was arrested for carrying the methamphetamine type narcotics had the initials RM (27) from East Aceh Regency.

Rajabul said the incident occurred this morning at around 07.00 WIB, on the first floor of SIM airport and past X Ray door. Where, at that time, Avsec officers suspected one of the prospective passenger suitcases.

"Then the Avsec officer checked the suitcase brought by the alleged perpetrator, and found methamphetamine," he said.

The methamphetamine type of narcotics that has been used by the four packages is planned to be sent to Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi using Batik Air aircraft.

"The four packages of methamphetamine weighing 1 kg were stored in the suspect's suitcase," said AKP Rajabul Asra.

After being secured by an Avsec officer at SIM Airport, the alleged perpetrator was then taken to the Airport Police Post, and then handed over to the Banda Aceh Police Narcotics Unit for further investigation.
