JAKARTA - Army Strategic Reserve Command (Kostrad) deployed troops to evacuate flood victims in Jabodetabek, Tuesday.
One of the areas visited by Kostrad personnel is Jalan Bukit Pasir, Pasir Gunung Selatan Village, Cimanggis District, Depok City, West Java (West Java).
Citing Kostrad's official press release, the Depok flood was one of the main focuses of Kostrad because the flood height had reached more than 2 meters.
The flood occurred due to the overflow of the Ciliwung river that crossed the area.
There were 34 soldiers from Yonkav 1/BCC/1 Kostrad who were deployed to the location to evacuate residents. They evacuated the victims by guiding the residents one by one through the swift flood currents.
Not only that, the personnel also evacuated the victims using rubber boats that had been prepared by the Kostrad ranks.
The personnel also provided every life vest resident not to drown during the evacuation process.
