The inauguration of Ramadan Lights funded by the Aziz Foundation was jointly carried out by Mayor Sadiq Khan, Fair Ray presenter and radio broadcaster Yasser Ranjiha, Independent.

The re-ignition of Ramadan Lights, as well as previously King Charles III and Queen Camilla helped pack dates and biryani rice for iftar donations at a restaurant in Soho, after last year there was an increase in Islamophobic hate crimes and riots in Southport.

This was done at a tense time for the Muslim community, which has been affected by rising Islamophobic hate crimes and also riots in Southport.

"Against all forms of hatred, we shine brightly as a beacon of hope. We not only tolerate differences, we respect, embrace and celebrate differences," the mayor of London said at the inauguration.

In addition to Ramadan Lights, which can be found at Coventry Street near Leicester Square, there is a smaller installation that tourists and visitors can visit in the corner near the statue of Mary Poppins.

These lights will be displayed until Eid al-Fitr, where these lights will change to mark the celebration.

In addition, there is also a Iftar Trail that has been held, which provides discounts for Londoners at several restaurants and street outlets around the city.
