KPK Reminds Village Development Must Be Synchronous With Regional To National Plans

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) of village funds must be maximally watched. Its use for development must also be adjusted to regional and national development plans to prevent irregularities.

This was conveyed by the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK Fitroh Rochahyanto during a speech at the Action Strengthens Government Governance Supervision to Realize the 6th Asta Cita of the President, entitled Building Villages from the Bottom for Economic Equity and Poverty Eradication at the Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions (Kemendes PDT) office, Jakarta, Thursday, February 27.

"Village is an integral part of one district government area," said Fitroh, quoted from the KPK's official statement, Friday, February 28.

"So the village development plan should be carried out, starting from the RPJMDes (Village Medium Term Development Plan) to be synchronized with the RPJMD (Regional Medium Term Development Plan) at the district level which of course must be in line with the Provincial RPJMD and RPJMN," he continued.

Fitroh said the allocation of village funds based on data from the Ministry of Finance for the 2025 budget year reached IDR 71 trillion. Thus, he reminded the importance of proper management.

One way, continued Fitroh, requires the use of the Village Financial Supervisory System (Siswakeudes) to increase financial supervision at the village level. This step is one of the recommended National Strategy for the Prevention of Corruption (Stranas PK) to the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri).

However, this recommendation cannot be carried out alone by the Ministry of Villages PDT. Synergy must be carried out together with ministries/agencies, especially the Ministry of Villages PDTT, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Finance to Bappenas.

"Including (synergy with, red) Kemenpan RB, it is highly hoped that the improvement in spending quality will not only occur at the central and regional levels, but also at the village government level," he said.

Furthermore, the intercity affairs were also discussed by Fitroh in this meeting. The village government plays an important role in regional progress. Village heads as heads of government (villages, ed) must be trustworthy, especially the budget for villages from the center of more than thousands of trillions. All of them lead to the welfare of the community," he said.

Meanwhile, PDT Village Minister Yandri Susanto said the KPK warning and other law enforcement officers would be of concern. This step is a form of supervision to strengthen economic equality in the village.

Moreover, data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in 2024 noted that as many as 75,753 Indonesians still live in villages. "All potentials we maximize," Yandri explained.

The Ministry of Villages has carried out 12 actions in order to realize the 6th Asta Cita President. There are bumdes, food self-sufficiency, water self-sufficiency, energy self-sufficiency, tourist villages, export villages, child-friendly villages, and others. So the role of the KPK here can strengthen and encourage supervision of the wheels of village government," he concluded.
