Commission D of the Cianjur DPRD received complaints from a number of student parents regarding the obligation to study tours at several schools in Cianjur Regency.

Member of Commission D DPRD Cianjur Asep Ritman said the policy caused pressure on students, especially for those who were economically underprivileged.

"Yesterday there were reports from parents who objected. Moreover, if the study tour was required, it would certainly be an additional burden for them. In fact, some felt that their child was under pressure because they did not participate," said Asep.

Following up on the complaint, Commission D of the Cianjur DPRD plans to summon the Youth and Sports Education Office (Disdikpora) and the Cianjur Office of Office (KCD) to discuss this issue further.

"We will summon Disdikpora and KCD because this concerns the cost burden charged to parents of students. This needs to be studied more deeply so that no party is harmed," said Asep.

The Cianjur DPRD will also open a complaint service for parents of students who object to the study tour policy at their child's school.

Asep Ritman also expressed his support for the policy of West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi regarding the prohibition of study tour activities.

According to him, this prohibition is important considering that many parents object to the costs that must be incurred, including parents in Cianjur.
