JAKARTA - The Bali Indonesian Migrant Worker Protection Service Center (BP3MI) has prevented the placement of three illegal or non-procedural Indonesian migrant workers (CPMI) to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, today.

Based on the BP3MI Bali report, the three CPMIs with the initials PR, W, and ASS were examined first at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport before leaving for Turkey. When examined, they admitted that they were going on vacation to Kuala Lumpur.

"Getted information that the person concerned will be on vacation to Kuala Lumpur, but cannot provide information and supporting data," wrote BP3MI Bali in an electronic message received in Jakarta, Wednesday, February 26.

After further investigation by immigration officers, it was discovered that they were heading to Malaysia only for transit and would go to Turkey for work.

"Officers carry out an in-depth investigation, information is obtained that the person concerned will work to the Turkish state," wrote the Bali BP3MI report.

Furthermore, immigration officers coordinated with BP3MI Bali to further deepen the three illegal CPMIs.

Minister of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (P2MI) Abdul Kadir Karding suggested that Indonesian migrant workers who wish to work abroad comply with the regulations and prepare the predetermined documents.

Minister Karding said departing officially would make it easier for the government to protect Indonesian migrant workers abroad.

"The message to the public that if you want to work abroad, it must be according to procedures, so that the government can protect and be present in this context," said Minister Karding.
