Thugs In Bogor Crossed, 36 People Arrested

BOGOR In an effort to maintain public order and security, the Bogor City Police together with the Satpol PP and the Bogor City Social Service held a thuggery raid on Saturday, February 22, 2025. This raid succeeded in securing 36 people suspected of being involved in thuggery activities in various areas of Bogor City.

The Head of the Bogor City Police Ops, Kompol A Nana Suryadi, said that this activity was part of the police's efforts to reduce the crime rate in Bogor City. "We continue to be committed to maintaining public security by carrying out operations like this regularly," he said.

In the raid that took place at several strategic points in Bogor City, officers combed the area which is often used as a gathering place for thuggery perpetrators.

The perpetrators who were arrested came from various backgrounds, including illegal buskers, illegal parking attendants, and individuals suspected of being involved in the practice of bullying and illegal levies in the community.

After being secured, the 36 people were immediately taken to the Bogor City Police Station for further investigation. The examination includes data collection on identities, deeper investigations related to their involvement in criminal acts, as well as urine tests to detect possible involvement in drug abuse.

"If proven to have violated the law, they will be processed in accordance with applicable regulations," said Nana

In addition to legal action for perpetrators who are proven to have committed crimes, the Bogor City Social Service also provides assistance for those who only need guidance.

Some individuals who are not involved in serious crimes will be given guidance and opportunities to participate in rehabilitation or job training programs to help them get a better life.

This activity received a positive response from the community who hoped that the City of Bogor would remain safe and comfortable. Residents expressed support for the efforts of the police and local governments in creating a more conducive environment.

Bogor City Police also appealed to residents to always report all forms of suspicious activity to maintain order and security in their environment.

"The community is expected to play an active role in creating a safer situation by synergizing with the police and related officials," he added.

With this raid, it is hoped that the number of crimes can be reduced and security in Bogor City will be maintained. In the future, the Bogor City Police together with the Satpol PP and the Social Service plan to increase the intensity of the raid and expand the scope of operations to ensure the safety of the community is maintained in a sustainable manner.
