National Police Chief Wants To Make Sukatani Band Duta Polri

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said that the National Police was not anti-criticism. Instead, he wanted to improve the image of the Police. Therefore, General Listyo plans to make the Sukatani band an ambassador for the National Police.

The National Police's plan to make the Sukatani band as the National Police's ambassador in order to improve institutions and prevent deviant behavior among police personnel.

"If the Sukatani band is pleased, we will make it a judge or a police ambassador to continue to build criticism as part of the correction and improvement of the institution," said Sigit, quoted Monday, February 24.

Sigit said that currently the National Police is open and accepts suggestions and input from the public. The National Police, said Sigit, has never prohibited or silenced the right to freedom of expression of the community.

"This is part of our commitment to continue to improve and become an adaptive organization in accepting corrections, so that it can develop into modern institutions that continue to make changes and improvements," he said.

Sigit emphasized that criticism from the public is part of efforts to build a better Polri institution.

"For us, criticism of the Police is proof of people's love for this institution," he concluded.

Sigit said the National Police had held various activities that provided space for the community to express opinions and expressions such as oration competitions, murals, and stand-ups comedy.
