Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi has encouraged road infrastructure improvements to be accelerated within two weeks, as the homecoming and return times of Lebaran 2025 are getting closer.
"Road infrastructure must be carried out (work, ed) quickly in the next two weeks, so that it does not become a public complaint," said Luthfi, in Semaran as reported by ANTARA, Friday, February 21.
This was conveyed after attending the Plenary Meeting of the Second Trial Period of 2024-2025, at the Central Java DPRD Building.
He said Central Java became the center of Java's island in the momentum of Eid homecoming because the province would be crossed by many travelers.
Therefore, he said, road infrastructure improvements should be a priority in the near future.
In line with that, he said the Central Java Provincial Government is also preparing to work on infrastructure improvements, including reservoirs, irrigation, and others to support Central Java as a national food barn.
Then, he said, the development of educational infrastructure, such as what needs to be repaired, are school buildings that are currently in a damaged condition.
In addition, Luthfi also mentioned the Presidential Instruction (Inpres) regarding budget efficiency, while ensuring that it will continue to strive so that priority programs in Central Java can still be implemented.
He will communicate and collaborate with the Ministry of Public Works so that infrastructure improvements in Central Java can be pursued.
Another strategy, he said, is to maximize the accuracy of the target of utilizing the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) for work programs.
To achieve all of this, Luthfi asked for support and collaboration from various parties, especially with the local DPRD.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the Central Java DPRD, Sumanto, added that he would support the program from the Central Java Provincial Government.
"We are the government's partners. These programs are the vision and mission that must be carried out by the governor and deputy governor," he said.
