JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo opened his voice regarding an apology from the Sukatani band to the Police regarding the lyrics of their song entitled 'Pay Pay Payment' which discussed police officers.
One part of the lyrics to the song is 'to make a driver's license, pay the police, cross the road, pay the police.' Police, according to Sigit, are not anti-critic and accept it as input for evaluation.
"In receiving criticism, of course we have to be relieved and the important thing is that there is improvement, and if there may be something that is not in accordance with the things that have been conveyed, explanations can be given," said National Police Chief Sigit when contacted by media crews in Jakarta, Antara, Friday, February 21.
Criticism is a trigger for his party to improve institutions to be even better.
"In principle, the National Police continues to improve by giving punishment to members who violate and giving rewards to good and outstanding members," he said.
This improvement, he said, was the National Police's commitment to continue to make improvements and evaluations of existing shortcomings.
"Of course it (improvement, ed.) is an effort that we continue to make," he emphasized.
As for the apology from the Sukatani band to the National Police regarding the Pay Pay Payment song, National Police Chief Sigit suspects that there is miscommunication.
"There is no problem. There may be a miss, but it has been straightened out," he said.
It is known that the punk band from Purbalingga, Sukatani, apologized to the police through a video on their social media accounts regarding their song entitled Pay Pay Pay Payment.
