Regional Heads In Bali Depart To Magelang, Except For PDIP Cadre Wayan Koster

DENPASAR - Head of the General Bureau and Protocol of the Bali Provincial Government, I Wayan Budiasa, said that the 9 regents and mayors throughout Bali were already in Yogyakarta to go to the regional head recruitment location at the Military Academy (Akmil) Magelang.

Meanwhile, when asked about Megawati Soekarnoputri's instruction letter so that regional heads from PDIP postpone the retreat trip, Budiasa said that until now only the Governor of Bali Wayan Koster had not yet headed for the retreat location.

"What is related to this letter still cannot be decided whether it is still a retreat or not, if the regional heads, regents, mayors are currently in Yogyakarta, if the Governor of Bali plans to go to Yogyakarta today," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, February 21.

The General Bureau of the Bali Provincial Government cannot confirm the presence of Bali Governor Wayan Koster at the opening of the retreat this afternoon, but the departure ticket to Yogyakarta has been ordered for a long time.

He explained that the initial reason Koster's departure ticket was shifted to today was because on Thursday (20/2) afternoon the Governor of Bali accompanied Putri Suastini Koster to the inauguration of the PKK TP at 16.00 WIB at the Danareksa Building, Central Jakarta.

"After the opening this afternoon, we can inform you (the presence of Wayan Koster), my information is still not complete because the process is still ongoing, in the afternoon it is just the opening of the retreat after we inform you," said Budiasa.

It is known that this afternoon the retret of elected regional heads from the 2024 Pilkada will open in Akmil Magelang, while on Thursday (20/2) night PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri issued follow-up instructions from the detention of PDIP DPP Secretary Hasto Kristiyanto for his role in the alleged bribery case for the management of interim replacement (PAW) members of the DPR and the obstruction of the investigation.

Regarding the KPK's decision, Megawati instructed regional heads and deputy regional heads from the PDIP to postpone the retreat trip in Magelang, or if they were already on their way to stop and wait for instructions, and be prepared to wait for further communication.

In Bali alone, PDIP cadres occupy the position of Governor and Deputy Governor of Bali, as well as become regional heads in almost all regencies/cities except Karangasem Regency.
