DPR Leaders Are Dizzy That Their Institutions Get Budget Efficiency Of IDR 1.3 Trillion, Confused About Paying Salaries

JAKARTA - The leadership of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI) is dizzy because the institution is affected by budget efficiency of up to IDR 1.3 trillion. Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Adies Kadir, was confused about salary.

Adies explained that the impact of efficiency on the DPR RI is in the form of reducing capital expenditures to official trips at home and abroad. He was confused about how the DPR wanted to travel temporarily while the budget was not available.

"Kena (efficiencies, ed) Rp 1.3 trillion. (CLUDING) Visits, capital expenditures, there are visits. Anyway, travel, how do you want to go abroad if there is no budget," said Adies at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, February 20.

Adies then revealed that all Council Apparatus (AKD) in the DPR was dizzy due to exposure to efficiency. In fact, according to him, the DPR is confused about paying employees after May 2025.

"What can we do if we continue to star until May, we can be confused about paying our salaries as well," he said.

Even so, the Golkar legislator did not specify how much the current DPR RI budget was after efficiency. He only said that the DPR must be effective in managing the budget affected by efficiency.

"So you have to, basically everyone gets efficiency. So you have to tie your waist hard," he concluded.

It is known, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto through Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 1 of 2025 officially issued a budget cuts policy in a number of government sectors to facilitate the budget.
