Megawati's Three Messages To Cadres After Hasto Was Detained By The KPK, Preparing To Face The Worst Situation

Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri conveyed three messages to cadres and sympathizers regarding the detention of the Secretary General (Sekjen) Hasto Kristiyanto. One of them is preparing to face the worst situation.

Megawati's message was conveyed through the Chairman of the Honorary Division of the PDIP DPP Party, Komarudin Watubun, during a press conference at the PDIP DPP office, Jakarta.

"The message of the General Chair to all PDIP cadres and sympathizers struggles from Sabang to Merauke. One, PDIP struggles are used to dealing with pressure. However, we still have a long breath," said Komarudin, Thursday, February 20.

The second message, Megawati asked all cadres and sympathizers to remain calm. However, must be ready to fight with the worst conditions.

"Two, the PDIP network struggles to remain calm, remain prepared to face the worst situation," he said.

The last message is that there is no appointment of a new secretary general or acting officer or Plt. Megawati will direct command all party activities by Megawati

"Thirdly, in this regard, the General Chair took over command and did not appoint the Acting Secretary General," said Komarudin.

Hasto was detained in connection with the bribery case for the management of interim replacement (PAW) members of the DPR and the obstruction of the investigation. He will occupy the State Detention Center Branch from the East Jakarta Class I State Detention Center for 20 days and can be extended according to the needs of investigators.

Hasto was charged with Article 21 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption Crimes Jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.

As for the bribery case related to PAW, members of the DPR, the process will be carried out stimulus. This is because the investigation warrant (sprindik) issued on December 23, 2024, focuses more on the application of Article 21.
