Telkom Sigma Boss Was Worked On By The KPK Today Regarding Allegations Of Corruption In Server Procurement

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned VP Finance and Accounting Sigma Cipta Caraka, Jimmy Tanuwijaya as a witness today, Tuesday, February 18. This step was taken to investigate corruption in the purchase of servers and digital storage by PT Sigma Cipta Caraka (Telkom Sigma).

"The investigation was carried out at the KPK's Red and White building," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika to reporters in her statement, Tuesday, February 18.

Tessa has not detailed the matter of the examination. Including whether Jimmy was present or not, he answered the call.

As for this case, the anti-corruption commission has named three suspects. They are the Director of PT Prakasa Nusa Bakti (PNB), Robert Pangasian Lumban Gaol and employees named Prakasa Nusa Bakti Afrian Jafar and Imran Mumtaz.

This allegation of corruption occurred when Robert asked for Imran and Afrian's help in finding a company to finance the provision of data centers. The three of them also did the same thing so that Telkom Sigma could fund PT PNB.

Telkom Sigma then approved a number of offers for cooperation with PT PNB. However, the process was carried out without the approval of the board of directors and a study of risk analysis.

Then there is a fictitious underlaying financing scheme for servers and storage systems between Telkom Sigma and PNB. The private company then promised Imran and Afrian Rp1.1 billion for being project brokers.

This project costs IDR 236.8 billion. The funds were paid by the SCC from June 2017 to July 2017 in stages.

The KPK also sniffed out the use of the funds for Robert's personal gain. He used a personal deposit account to take advantage of himself.

At least, Robert received the transfer three times related to the money. The details consist of IDR 21.7 billion, IDR 9.3 billion, and IDR 26.9 billion.

As a result of the actions of the suspects, the state then lost up to Rp280 billion. The calculation was obtained from an audit from the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).
