Nominated Again In 2029, Prabowo: Later Observers Say 'Prabowo Ambitious'

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Gerindra Party as well as the 8th President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto spoke about his proposal to run again in the 2029 presidential election.

This statement was made by Prabowo during a political speech at the 17th Anniversary of the Gerindra Party in Sentul, West Java today, Saturday, February 15. Initially, the former Minister of Defense could not understand that he had been nominated again even though his reign was only 100 days.

"Actually, it is strange, only 100 days of work have been forced to be nominated for 2029," Prabowo said to applause from the cadres and laughter from the invitees who attended.

"Later there will be observers, 'Prabowo ambitions'," he continued.

Prabowo agrees that currently he has won the trust of the public together with the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM). "And we succeeded because it was supported by the 7th President," he said.

"Long live Jokowi!" continued Prabowo.

Furthermore, Prabowo said the people still expect more from his government. "And we don't have a big head. 100 days is not my request. Where does the tradition of performance 100 days, who gets a report card. Elementary school alone isn't 100 days. Entering school is a year," he said.

On that occasion, Prabowo also mentioned the Gerindra Party Extraordinary Congress (KLB) which had issued various decisions. He said, this activity was previously only a national leadership meeting (rapimnas) but then changed.

"They are the reason for saving. Now it's neat, now the congress is costing double. So the principle of saving has finally turned into one," concluded Prabowo.
