KPK Pockets Instructions For Alleged Ex-Directors Of PT ASDP Receiving Rewards During Acquisition Of PT Jembatan Nusantara

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said there were instructions regarding the receipt of rewards or kickbacks by the directors of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry while conducting business cooperation (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara which led to corruption. This allegation is being strengthened by investigators.

This was conveyed by the Acting Director of KPK Investigation Budi Sokmo during a press conference on the detention of three suspects in the corruption case in the business cooperation process (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry.

Those detained were Ira Puspadewi; former Director of Planning and Development of PT ASDP 2020 2024, Harry Muhammad Adhi Caksono; and former Director of Commercial and Services of PT ASDP 2019 2024, Muhammad Yusuf Hadi.

"We believe the instructions are there because there is indeed a flow of money, there are irregularities in transactions that are not carried out properly. So this is what we are tracing," Budi said as quoted from the KPK RI YouTube show, Friday, February 14.

Budi revealed that this tracing was carried out by cooperating with forensic auditors and other parties. The findings obtained will be investigated against a number of witnesses.

As for the investigation of this case, the anti-corruption commission has confiscated 23 property assets from October to December 2024. Dozens of lands and buildings are estimated to be worth IDR 1.2 trillion and are located in the Pondok Indah area, Menteng, Bogor City to Surabaya City.

"We already have some clues and we need to clarify and we need to strengthen it with evidence so that it can be declared a kick back," he said.

Previously reported, the KPK revealed that the business cooperation (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry had cost the state finances. The value reaches almost Rp900 billion.

In this case there are four suspects named. They are the former President Director of PT ASDP in 2017 '2024, Ira Puspadewi; former Director of Planning and Development of PT ASDP in 2020'2024, Harry Muhammad Adhi Caksono; former Commercial and Service Director of PT ASDP in 2019 2024, Muhammad Yusuf Hadi; and the owner of PT Jembatan Nusantara Group, Adjie.

However, only three suspects were detained for the first 20 days, namely Ira Puspadewi, Harry Muhammad Adhi Caksono, and Muhammad Yusuf Hadi. Meanwhile, Adjie has not been detained due to his health condition.

This case began when Ira took office in 2018. Adjie as the owner of PT Jembatan Nusantara at that time offered his company for acquisition.

This process has actually been carried out since 2014 but was rejected. Then, Adjie again offered his company to Ira et al when he was a director.

This offer was made through informal channels, namely by holding meetings in a number of places by inviting Ira, Harry, and Yusuf Hadi. Then in 2019, Adjie offered his company in writing to PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero).

There are a number of processes that are not appropriate in this acquisition process. Apart from the lack of approval from the board of commissioners, it turns out that PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) does not yet have guidelines for implementing this business process.

PT Jembatan Nusantara was later acquired by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry worth IDR 1,272 trillion on October 20, 2021. This agreement was taken after several meetings.

Details of the money were presented for the value of shares including 42 ships belonging to PT Jembatan Nusantara and Rp380 billion for the value of 11 ships belonging to the affiliate of PT JN and the new management of the private company.

As a result of his actions, these three suspects are suspected of violating Article 2 paragraph (1) or Article 3 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption, as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption Crimes Jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.
