41 People From Fishermen's Class To Regional Officials Examined By KKP Regarding Pagar Laut Tangerang

TANGERANG - The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) said that 41 fishermen, a number of village heads (kades) and government officials were summoned to examine the 30.16 km Tangerang sea fence case in Tangerang Regency.

Director of Marine Resources Supervision at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP), Sumono Darwinto said, of the dozens of witnesses who were summoned, only 23 people answered the summons.

"In accordance with their respective authorities, from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police Headquarters in terms of falsification of SHGB and SHM, we (KKP) from the point of use of the sea space. And a total of 41 people were summoned, but 23 people were present," Sumono told reporters in Tanjung Pasir, Teluknaga, Tangerang Regency, Thursday, February 13.

"This is the total number of various roles in examining the case of the sea fence," he added.

Sumono said that until now, his party was still investigating the sea fence in Tangerang Regency. Therefore, he asked for time to reveal this case clearly.

"Currently it is still ongoing, please be patient. In principle, in accordance with the authority in the KKP, in this case the PDSKP continues to carry out investigations related to the use of its marine space," he said.

Furthermore, if later it is proven that there are allegations of violations, the KKP will follow up by imposing administrative sanctions, but it is possible that there will be criminal elements.

"For sanctions, we will still see if it is in accordance with the provisions, whether it is subject to administrative sanctions or indeed collaboration from a criminal perspective from the police," he said.

Sumono said that if the investigation process for the disclosure of the sea fence case was carried out in collaboration with law enforcement officials (APH), such as the example carried out by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police who had conducted examinations and investigations into falsification of the submission of HGB/SHM certificates.
