Breaking Through The Crossing Cross, Vocational High School Student Killed By A Train

A student from a vocational school in Semarang City, Central Java, died after being hit by a train after being suspected of recklessly breaking through a closed section crossing.

Public Relations Manager of PT KAI Daop 4 Semarang Franoto Wibowo said the accident involving the Harina train occurred at a level crossing guarded by officers in Kocrosono, North Semarang.

"It is suspected that the victim's motorbike broke through the closed bar. The driver of the Harina train has also sounded the distillation," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, February 13.

Security officers of PT KAI Daop 4 Semarang then coordinated with the police to evacuate victims.

Meanwhile, one of the eyewitnesses, Ardi (55), said that the incident began when the victim was traveling from north to south on Jalan Kocrosono.

The student with the initials SL, who is suspected of returning from school, rode a motorcycle together with his friends

When crossing the Kocrosono crossing, he said, the victim was suspected of being desperate to break through the closed crossing.

The victim's body in the accident was then evacuated to Dr. Kariadi Hospital Semarang.
