BPBD Records Burned Land Area In A Number Of West Aceh Regions Reach 7.5 Hectares

ACEH - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of West Aceh Regency ensures that the area of land burned in a number of locations in the area has reached 7.5 hectares (Ha).

"So far, efforts to extinguish the fire are still being carried out, we and our friends are still trying to extinguish the fire," said Acting Head of BPBD West Aceh Regency, Teuku Ronal, Antara, Thursday, February 13.

The locations of the burned land are scattered in Blang Beurandang Village, Johan Pahlawan District, West Aceh Regency with three hotspots, with a burned area of 7 hectares.

Then in Gampa Village, Johan Pahlawan District, West Aceh Regency with a burned area of about 400 square meters and has been successfully extinguished.

Another location that caught fire was in Darul Huda Village, Woyla District, West Aceh Regency with a burned area of 0.5 Ha or about 5,000 square meters and has been extinguished.

Teuku Ronal said the extinguishing effort was carried out using a number of facilities such as two units of the D-Max Fleet, one unit of the fire department, one unit of the woyla postal fire department, one unit of portable engine, one unit of Kohler engine.

The elements involved include BPBD West Aceh personnel, West Aceh Police, Kodim 0105 West Aceh, Polsek and local Koramil, Regional IV Meulaboh KPH officers, and the community.

Teuku Ronal said the cause of the land fire that occurred in West Aceh Regency is still unknown.

"This incident is still under investigation by related parties," he said.
