JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo is said to have pocketed several names of candidates for high-ranking officers (pati) who will hold positions as East Java Police Chief.

The position of the East Java Police Chief is known to be vacant since Komjen Imam Sugianto was transferred to become the Main Assistant to the National Police Chief for Operations (Asrama Ops).

"Of course, the National Police Chief already has those names," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Shandi Nugroho to reporters, Wednesday, February 12.

Regarding the initial mechanism for selecting members who will occupy strategic positions, it will go through the process of the High Ranks and Positions Council (Wanjakti). Several names of candidates will be considered before being presented to the National Police Chief.

Therefore, all parties are asked to be patient regarding the person who will be chosen to serve as the East Java Police Chief.

"Which one was chosen by the National Police Chief based on certain criteria," said Shandi.

Meanwhile, the mutation of Komjen Imam Sugianto as the East Java Police Chief was stated in the telegram letter numbered ST/200/I/KEP/2025 dated, 31 January.
