Application For Agustiani Tio's Medical Permit To Guangzhou Will Be STUDIED By The KPK

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will study the application for treatment abroad submitted by former member of the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) Agustiani Tio Fridelina.

This was conveyed by KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika when asked for permission submitted by Agustiani's attorney, Army Mulyanto on Monday, February 10. The lawyer asked his client to be allowed to seek treatment in Guangzhou, China even though the anti-corruption commission had submitted a six-month ban on traveling abroad.

"Of course it will be studied what materials were conveyed by sister Agustiani Tio through her legal adviser," Tessa told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, quoted on Wednesday, February 12.

In addition to studying the submission submitted by the legal team, the KKPK will also coordinate with the team of doctors. Tessa said Agustiani's condition must be confirmed to require treatment.

"Together, we (we, ed) will study and of course the decisions taken will be in accordance with applicable legal regulations," said the spokesman with the investigator's background.

As previously reported, Agustiani Tio Fridelina through her attorney, Army Mulyanto asked permission from the KPK to seek treatment in Guangzhou, China. He had to do treatment due to cancer.

This request arose because the KPK asked the Directorate General of Immigration to prohibit Agustiani from leaving the country since January 15. Prevention is carried out related to the obstruction case of the investigation that ensnared the Secretary General of PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto.

"The point is that the medicine for Mrs. Tio is running out. So it is time for Mrs. Tio to seek treatment in Guangzhou," Army told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, February 10.

Army said his client had written to the anti-corruption commission twice. The first submission was made on February 3.

"Today we sent a letter regarding the same matter and also conveyed it in substance," he said.

Agustiani hopes that KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto will be wise with the current conditions. Moreover, the Army said that his client was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Depok while waiting for permission to receive treatment abroad.

"This morning around 11 pm, Agustina Tio's client or Tio's mother was admitted to the hospital. At Opname at Mitra Keluarga Hospital, Depok. Her condition is a bit worse and this is because the medicine that should have been treated means it has run out," he said.
