The North Jakarta Metro Police (Polsek) of the Metro Penjaringan Polres Metro arrested a household assistant (ART) with the initials K (52) along with a driver with the initials G (28) who was suspected of committing theft at his employer's house in Taman Grisenda, Penjaringan District, North Jakarta.

"The two perpetrators conspired to steal cash and jewelry from their employers, whose losses reached Rp800 million," said Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Penjaringan Metro Police AKP Arief Ryzki, Monday, February 10.

He explained that the perpetrators K and G conspired, if the perpetrator K got the cash in US dollars and then given the perpetrator G to be exchanged into rupiah currency at the money exchange place.

"From the confessions of the two perpetrators, they have exchanged money 10 times in money changers", said AKP Arief.

He added that from the confession of perpetrator K they committed theft to meet the needs of life. In addition, the stolen money was also sent to his family in the village.

Perpetrator K also claimed to have bought a minibus for G for 80 million rupiah.

"We have used this car as evidence," he said.

AKP Arief Ryzki added that the two perpetrators did not have a family relationship or feelings of mutual like.

"They are just working friends," he said.

Previously, the victim, who is the employer of the perpetrator, reported to the Penjaringan Metro Police on Tuesday (4/5). This victim reported because he was suspicious of ART at home because he often lost a number of cash in his safe.
