Avanza Collision In Menteng, Chery Omoda Driver Breaks Through The Red Light

JAKARTA - Two four-wheeled vehicles were involved in an accident on Jalan Dipenogoro in front of the Perindo Party office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, last Saturday, February 8.

From the information gathered, the cause of the accident was allegedly due to the white Chery Omoda car driver driven by JFT (27) with police number (Nopol) B 1824 HKJ under the influence of alcohol.

The Chery Omoda driver drove his vehicle by running a red light, hitting a black Toyota Avanza with police number (Nopol) B 2515 SOM.

Head of Traffic at the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Gomos Simamora, said that his party was still investigating the accident.

"Members are examining the driver's urine, whether there is an influence on alcohol or other things," said Kompol Gomos when confirmed, Sunday, February 9.

Kompol Gomos said the two drivers were still being treated at the hospital because they suffered a number of injuries.

Meanwhile, none of the two drivers involved in the accident have reported to the Central Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit.

"They do not want to be handled by the police and choose a way to make peace," he said.
