KPK: Hasto Hands Over IDR 400 Million To Help Harun Masiku Bribery Wahyu Setiawan

JAKARTA - The legal team of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that the Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto handed over Rp400 million for the management of the interim replacement (PAW) of the DPR RI, Harun Masiku. The money was deposited through Kusnadi, who is his aide.

The facts of the investigation were conveyed by the KPK's legal team when reading out their response to objections from Hasto Kristiyanto's camp at the pretrial hearing at the South Jakarta District Court.

"That on December 16, 2019 at around 16.00 WIB, Kusnadi as the staff of the Secretary General of the PDIP DPP met Donny Tri Istiqomah in the PDIP DPP meeting room on Jalan Diponegoro, Central Jakarta," said the legal team in the South Jakarta District Court courtroom.

Then, it was stated that the money entrusted by Hasto was handed over by Kusnadi to Donny Tri Istiqomah. The money was given after Wahyu Setiawan agreed to take care of the PAW DPR RI Harun Masiku.

"At that time, Kusnadi was accused of money wrapped in a brown envelope that was put in a black backpack and said 'this pack has an order from the Secretary General to hand over an operational fee of Rp. 400 million to Mr. Saeful, Harun's 600 million, he said'," he said.

After receiving the money, Donny Tri Istiqomah contacted Saeful Bahri. It was conveyed that the money for the administration of the DPR PAW Harun Masiku was already with him.

"Saeful Bahri then asked, foreign or rupiah at night we meet," he said.

It was stated that Donny Tri Istiqomah had opened the envelope. Then check the money to be submitted to Saeful Bahri if the money is in disbursement of Rp. 50,000.

"On this statement, Donny Tri Istiqomah then opened the deposit and calculated it in the envelope money that the rupiah currency in the form of Rp. 50,000 denominations amounted to Rp. 400 million," he said.

Previously, it was reported that Hasto was known to have been named a suspect in the alleged interim bribery case (PAW) which also ensnared former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan and his fugitive, Harun Masiku.

Not only Hasto, but the KPK has also named Donny Tri Istiqomah, who is a PDIP cadre and a lawyer as a suspect.

In fact, in its development, the KPK has also named Hasto as a suspect in the obstruction of the investigation. The PDIP Secretary General is suspected of trying to obstruct the legal process, one of which is by asking Harun to damage his cellphone and run away after the arrest operation (OTT) was carried out.

After becoming a suspect, Hasto's camp filed a pretrial lawsuit. This case is registered with case number 5/Pid.Pra/2025/PN JKT.SEL and Djuyamto acting as the sole judge.
