PDIP Denies Hasto Rentals For Djan Faridz's House Regarding Harun Masiku's Case

Chairman of the PDIP DPP Ronny Talapessy, denied reports that PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto rented the house of former PPP Chairman, Djan Faridz, who was searched by the KPK regarding the bribery case of Harun Masiku. Ronny emphasized that there was no relationship between Hasto and Djan Faridz's house.

"It's not true. I don't see any connection with Mas Hasto. But let it be, it is the authority of the KPK," said Ronny when contacted, Saturday, January 25.

Hasto Kristiyanto's legal team was surprised by the recent series of searches carried out by the KPK related to the Harun Masiku case, let alone searching Djan Faridz's residence. Ronny suspects that the KPK lacks evidence in suspecting Hasto.

"We don't know where the search is going? We want to look for more evidence? That means that the determination of the suspect yesterday was not enough evidence, right? We also don't know what was confiscated," he said.

As previously reported, the KPK searched Djan Faridz's house, which is located at Jalan Borobudur Number 26, Menteng, Central Jakarta on Wednesday night, January 22. Investigators were there for approximately five hours or until Thursday, January 23 at 01.05 WIB.

After making a forced effort, investigators rushed with five suitcases. The details are two medium-sized suitcases, one small suitcase, one cardboard box, and a jejing bag (totebag).

KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika said her party confiscated a number of items suspected of being related to the bribery case for the interim replacement (PAW) of members of the DPR and the suspect Harun Masiku.

"That last night there was a search at the witness' house in the name of the initials DF. The information we got from investigators was found and confiscated documents and electronic evidence," Tessa told reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, January 23.

Tessa has not been able to elaborate further on the findings. This includes electronic evidence found by investigators in the forced attempt.

"There is no additional information on whether it looks like a hard disk, laptop or cellphone," said the spokesman with the investigator's background.

He also has not been able to reveal Djan's role in the Harun Masiku case. Tessa said, information has not been provided by investigators.

This includes the possibility that PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto has rented the house of the former Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres). "It has not been confirmed by investigators," he said.
