West Java Regional Secretary (Sekda) Herman Suryatman said the provincial government lowered the ranks of the West Java Regional Inspectorate, the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Service (DKP) and the Satpol PP to check the field to ensure the question of the sea fence in Bekasi Regency.

"This morning the ranks went to the field to conduct studies, both from a juridical and sociological perspective. Because this must be mapped out, and the problem must be clear," said Herman at Gedung Sate Bandung, Friday, January 24, as reported by ANTARA.

This field check, said Herman, was because it was suspected that there was something suspicious in the connection between the provincial government and the company that installed a bamboo fence there.

"We have an agreement with the company concerned. After we investigated (early), it turned out that the lease was rented. That's why we asked for a check first to go to the field so that the dynamics are as far as possible, so the warning letter must be accountable because we have to know the problem," he said.

Herman said that if it turned out that there was cooperation with the form of renting goods belonging to the area, the sea fence was illegal, because the sea did not belong to the region.

"We have just captured it from an administrative point of view. This must be explored, because it is outside the items promised, namely the leases of regional property. But the sea is not an item belonging to the region, therefore it must be checked," he said.

For the results of the field check, Herman said that it would be submitted to the Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin or the new governor as the decision maker.

"We convey the suggestion of action to the leadership, which then the decision made by the Governor. Later we will give further directions, what we must do. Including for demolition actions, because it takes time and must check the field," he said.

Previously, the sea fence belonging to PT Tunas Ruang Pelabuhan Nusantara was suspected of carrying out illegal reclamation, by installing a sea fence in Segarajaya Village, Tarumajaya District, Bekasi Regency.

One of them is because they have not applied for approval, suitability, activities, use of the sea space (PKKPRL) from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) until it was finally sealed.
