JAKARTA - Coordinator of the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI) Boyamin Saiman plans to sue the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). He assessed that reports of alleged corruption that dragged the name of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the Attorney General's Office, Febrie Andriansyah, had not been handled.
"Yes, the pretrial is normal, we'll wait," Boyamin told reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, January 23.
Boyamin, who is also part of the Civil Coalition to Save Mines (KSST), has actually made a report some time ago. However, no progress has been conveyed by the KPK regarding the report.
In the future, Boyamin hopes that the KPK leadership for the period 2024-2029 can fulfill its commitment. Do not let selective slashing in an effort to eradicate corruption.
"Hopefully it will be reviewed by the new leadership. Later, if necessary, I will send another letter," he said.
KSST is known to have made a report related to the alleged corruption that dragged Febrie's name to the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) officials on Monday, May 27, 2024.
It is suspected that there was a criminal incident in the auction of confiscated goods confiscated by corruption in the form of a package of shares of PT GBU.

These shares were looted from the PT Jiwasraya insurance corruption case which was auctioned off by the AGO's Asset Recovery Center (PPA) on June 18, 2023 and won by PT Indobara Putra Mandiri (IUM).
The coalition consisting of community organizations such as the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI), the Mining Advocacy Network (Jatam), Indonesia Police Watch (IPW), and legal practitioners such as Deolipa Yumara have also urged the KPK to investigate allegations of abuse of authority of Jampidsus AGO Febrie Adriansyah.
"The limit price has been approved by the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia, which allegedly resulted in at least Rp9 trillion in state losses, and caused the recovery of Jiwasraya's mega-corruption asset in the context of paying the obligation to replace the convict Heru Hidayat of Rp10,728 trillion to not be disclosed," said Boyamin Saiman, MAKI's Coordinator in his presentation at that time.
