JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission X DPR Lalu Hadrian Irfani said that the internal chaos of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Kemendikti Saintek) had been completed. This, said Lalu, had been conveyed by Minister of Education and Technology, Saintek Satryo Soemantri Brodjonegoro in a working meeting with Commission X DPR.

It is known, as many as 235 ASN Kemendikti Saintek held a demonstration against Minister Satryo at his office on Monday, January 20. This demonstration was held because Satryo was said to have dismissed one of his employees suddenly and only via WhatsApp.

In addition, ASNs also protested the rude attitude of the Minister of Education and Technology. The Professor of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) is said to often commit verbal to physical abuse and spread against his employees.

"Regarding the internal chaos in the Ministry of Education and Technology, everything has been completed, the Minister has said that there are no problems, there are already common ground. And we at Commission X hope that the incident will not happen again in the future," said Lalu Ari, Thursday, January 23.

The Minister of Education, continued Lalu, has also conveyed about employees who are transferred as seen from performance evaluations. However, Commission X of the DPR encourages that employee evaluations and mutations be carried out in more professional ways in the future so as not to cause confusion.

"Because if it's chaotic, when will we work again. So we at Commission X really encourage professionalism towards ASN-ASN to be one of the main parameters to determine that," explained Lalu.

Meanwhile, regarding the voice recording that Satryo allegedly scolded and beat his employees, Then revealed that the Minister of Education and Technology, Saintek, had denied it in the meeting. However, Commission X of the DPR continues to urge Minister Satryo to be even better in his attitude and be an example for his employees and the community.

"Yes, all of that has been explained by him, and he has also been interviewed everywhere on the TV station stating that it is not true. And we have asked that and so answered incorrectly," said Lalu.

"But the important thing is that such incidents cannot be repeated. The principle in the world of education is ing ngarso sunturoto, ing ngarso tulodo, ing madya mangun karso, tut wuri handayani. Because this ministry oversees educational institutions, ministries that generally handle all of our education in the country, must be an example. Be a good example," continued the PKB legislator.
