Searching The House Of Ex-Ketum PPP Djan Faridz, KPK Finds Evidence Related To Harun Masiku's Case

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated a number of items suspected of being related to the bribery case for the interim replacement (PAW) of members of the DPR with the suspect Harun Masiku.

This step was taken after investigators searched the house of former Chairman of the United Development Party (PPP) Djan Faridz on Wednesday, January 22 evening.

"That last night there was a search at the witness' house in the name of the initials DF. The information we got from investigators was found and confiscated documents and electronic evidence," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika to reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, January 23.

Tessa has not been able to elaborate further on the findings. This includes electronic evidence found by investigators in the forced attempt.

"There is no additional information on whether it looks like a hard disk, laptop or cellphone," said the spokesman with the investigator's background.

He also has not been able to reveal Djan's role in the Harun Masiku case. Tessa said, information has not been provided by investigators.

This includes the possibility that PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto has rented the house of the former Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres). "It has not been confirmed by investigators," he said.

As previously reported, the KPK searched Djan Faridz's house, which is located at Jalan Borobudur Number 26, Menteng, Central Jakarta on Wednesday night, January 22. Investigators were there for approximately five hours or until Thursday, January 23 at 01.05 WIB.

After making a forced effort, investigators rushed with five suitcases. The details are two medium-sized suitcases, one small suitcase, one cardboard box, and a jejing bag (totebag).

The KPK developed an interim replacement bribery (PAW) case that ensnared former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan and his fugitive, Harun Masiku. Two people were later named as suspects, namely PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto and Donny Tri Istiqomah who are PDIP cadres as well as lawyers.

It didn't stop there, Hasto was also a suspect in the obstruction of the investigation. He is suspected of trying to obstruct the legal process, one of which is by asking Harun to damage his cellphone and run away after the hand arrest operation (OTT) was carried out.

Until now, the KPK is still looking for Harun Masiku. The wanted list (DPO) has been updated by including a number of characteristics such as having a height of 172 cm with dark hair and mature sawo skin.

Harun is also written as having special characteristics for glasses, thinness, having a loud voice. In addition, he also speaks in a Toraja or Bugis accent.
