Defending Village Head Suspected Of Village Fund Corruption, East Lombok FKD Prepares Legal Assistance

The Village Head Forum (FKD) of East Lombok Regency stated that it is ready to provide legal assistance to village heads (kades) suspected of corruption in village funds based on reporting their citizens.

"Indeed, there are a number of village heads who have been reported to law enforcement officers (APH) and we from FKD are ready to provide advocacy and assistance to the reported village head," said Chairman (East Lombok FKD, M Khairul Ihsan in East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province, Thursday, January 23, confiscated by Antara.

He said a number of village heads in East Lombok were reported by their citizens to the prosecutor's office and the police, who were on average related to allegations of misuse of village funds such as what happened in West Sikur Village, Sambelia and several other villages.

"We deeply regret that the village problem continues until law enforcement," he said.

According to Khairul, the problems that occurred in the village in East Lombok were resolved by deliberating and sitting together, not reporting a little to law enforcement officials.

He asked the prosecutor's office and the police to be objective in seeing the existing problems.

"The village government carries out its duties referring to existing regulations. We continue to prioritize the presumption of innocence and obey the ongoing legal process," he said.
