KPK Ready To Investigate Allegations Of Corruption In The Procurement Of The Cintax System As Long As There Are Reports

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has confirmed that it is ready to investigate allegations of corruption in the procurement of the coretax system. This institution invites the public to report if they know of irregularities.

"We appeal to those who know to be able to report," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika to reporters quoted on Thursday, January 16.

Tessa said any reports that came in would definitely be a concern of the anti-corruption commission. Moreover, if it is true that there is a bad practice in the procurement of the system.

However, the KPK cannot move on its own in conducting investigations. Tessa said that her institution needed community assistance or other parties by reporting allegations of corruption or abuse.

"KPK is also limited in resources. So, we really appreciate it if there are colleagues who have knowledge that this is and needs to be considered for its implementation by the KPK," said the spokesman with the investigator's background.

"Please come to be able to convey this," he continued.

The Core Tax Administration System (CTAS) or beliax was officially implemented on January 1 by the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance. This system is the administrative core prepared to increase efficiency, transparency, and accountability.

This system is said to be automating tax administration services and providing risk-based data analysis. So, in the future, taxpayer compliance can increase.

A number of improvements have been made after complaints were made. Among them are related to registration, annual notification letter (SPT), and document management system.
