Rob Flood Level Submerges Residents Of Penjaringan Jakut Reach 60 Cm

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) said that tidal flooding inundated residential areas in the North Jakarta Pluit Penjaringan area with a height of 30 to 60 cm.

"The latest information is that there are three RTs in Pluit that have been flooded," said Head of the DKI Jakarta BPBD Data and Information Center (Kapusdatin), Mohamad Yohan, quoted from Antara, Sunday, January 12, 2025.

He said the water caused by the tidal flood submerged residential areas and so far no residents have fled.

Meanwhile, the RE Martadinata Road in front of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) in Papanggo Village, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, was also flooded until 11.00 WIB, after which the area gradually receded.

He said the DKI Jakarta BPBD was still mobilizing personnel to monitor inundation conditions in each region and coordinate the elements of the Natural Resources Service, Highways Office, Gulkarmat Service to carry out inundation suction and ensure that the water lines function properly together with the local village heads and sub-district heads.

"The inundation is targeted to recede in a short time," he said.

BPBD DKI appealed to the public to remain careful and alert to potential inundation. In an emergency, immediately call telephone number 112.

"This service is free and operates for 24 hours non-stop," he said.

Previously, access to Muara Angke Port was again submerged by tidal flooding or coastal flooding on Jalan Dermaga Ujung Muara Angke, Penjaringan District, North Jakarta on Sunday morning

"This flood water has started to enter from 06.00 WIB in the morning to inundate the roads and houses of residents," said Head of RT006 RW 22 Wirya in Jakarta, Sunday.

He said the flood height reached 10 to 30 centimeters which inundated the road to the Kali Adem Pier of Muara Angke Port.
