PONOROGO - The Ponorogo District Prosecutor's Office, East Java, has again confiscated three tourism buses belonging to SMK 2 PGRI Ponorogo related to the alleged misappropriation of school operational assistance funds (BOS) for the 2019 '2024 period.
Head of the Ponorogo District Attorney's Intelligence Section, Agung Riyadi, said on Wednesday that the confiscation fulfilled a similar step to collect evidence of alleged corruption, bringing the total confiscated school buses to 10 units.
"With this addition, a total of 10 buses have been confiscated in this case," Agung said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 11.
The last three confiscated buses were taken from a garage outside the area.
"Seven other bus units have been transferred to the evidence warehouse in Mojokerto. These three units are still parked here, and there may be one more unit that will be secured," he said.
In the investigation process, the Prosecutor's Office has summoned 22 witnesses, including the internal SMK 2 PGRI Ponorogo, the East Java Education Office Branch, and the former principal for the 2019-2024 period.
"We are exploring the flow of BOS funds, ranging from the amount to the parties receiving them. Currently, we are dissolving where the funds are channeled," said Agung.
