JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) officially closed the commemoration of World Anti-Corruption Day (Hakordia) today. All parties are asked to continue efforts to eradicate riots in the country.
"We must not be pessimistic about dealing with corruptors but we are optimistic that we can," said Deputy Chairperson of the KPK Johanis Tanak when closing Hakordia at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, December 10.
Tanak hopes that Hakordia, with the theme 'Stature Commitment to Eradicating Corruption for Advanced Indonesia', can be a momentum to strengthen synergy. Mainly, law enforcers and stakeholders related to eradicating rasuah.
"This involvement is a manifestation that corruption is a common enemy that must be eradicated collectively, both through education to spread anti-corruption values, prevention for system improvements and prosecutions that provide a deterrent effect and optimize asset recovery," he said.
At this moment, the KPK also appreciates the commitment to stakeholders who play an active role in eradicating corruption, such as the local governments of Payakumbuh City, Surakarta, Kulon Progo, and Badung which are pilot districts/Cities of Anti-Corruption; BUMN; BUMD; and business actors who apply business principles with integrity through guidance to prevent corruption (PANCEK).
