Cheeky Peeky Playhouse, A Contemporary PAUD That Offers Reggio Emilia Curriculum For Children

JAKARTA - Education is an important aspect that children need to get, before entering elementary school (SD), children usually pass through the Early Childhood Education (PAUD) level.

Education Observer Doni Koesoema said that PAUD is very important for the formation of children's characters. So according to him, parents must be able to maximize it.

For this reason, the Chairman of the Sahabat Anak Kecil Foundation Emilia Asteriani Putri established a school for Early Childhood Education (PAUD) named Cheeky Peeky Playhouse.

In the Reggio Emilia curriculum, education and child development are directed at themselves and are based on their interests, ideas, and thoughts that can help create positive and exciting classroom experiences in learning.

Emilia said that the reason she foundedUCHy Peeky Playhouse was because she wanted to facilitate young mothers who wanted to provide stimulation that was in accordance with children's growth and development.

"However, not many places have offered this, especially those that can adjust the level of children's abilities and desires," he said.

He explained that the reason called Cheeky Peeky Playhouse was because he wanted to foster curiosity in children by taking names from the ciluka game.

"So we took the philosophy of the game of ciluka (peek-a-boo) where the child studied and bonded with parents who were very useful for their development," said Emilia.

"The name Cheeky himself describes the element of the fun, where we accommodate the traits of children who are always curious and want to know many things in a fun way," he continued.

In addition to offering school programs for children aged 0-3 years, Emilia said that her party also offers class entertainment activities for after school classes for children aged 3-8 years.

Located in Nusa Loka Housing, Jalan Ambon Block 1A Number 2, Mekar Jaya, Serpong, South Tangerang, the playhouse offers a number of activities such as sensory class, motorcycle stimulation, then read-a-loud, art class and music class.

Furthermore, Cheeky Peeky Playhouse is also working with Miss Krista Endinda, who is indeed an expert in influence and toddler and early childhood education.

"So Miss Dinda makes a curriculum, and exclusively trains our teachers. Our teachers also come from master degree education in clinical psychology and early childhood education from well-known universities," he said.
